Welcome to Hydra Robotics, the robotics club representing Redwood Middle School in Saratoga, CA! As passionate participants in the First Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics tournament, our team, FTC number 20405, was founded in 2022 with a shared goal of learning and spreading the knowledge of robotics.
At Hydra Robotics, we believe in the power of robotics to inspire and educate young minds. Our dedicated team of students, mentors, and volunteers work together to design, build, and program robots to compete in the exciting challenges presented by FTC. Through this hands-on experience, we aim to foster creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork skills among our members.
One of our primary objectives is to promote the field of robotics within our school and community. We actively engage in outreach programs, demonstrations, and workshops to share our knowledge and spark interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. By organizing events and collaborating with other schools and organizations, we strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all aspiring roboticists.
Our team is comprised of students from various grade levels, each bringing their unique skills and perspectives to the table. From mechanical engineering to programming and everything in between, we encourage our members to explore different aspects of robotics and discover their passion. Through mentorship and hands-on experience, we aim to develop well-rounded individuals who are not only proficient in robotics but also possess strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
Participating in the FTC robotics tournament is an exhilarating experience for us. It provides an opportunity to put our skills to the test and compete against other talented teams. The challenges posed in the tournament require us to think on our feet, adapt to unexpected situations, and collaborate effectively under pressure. Win or lose, we always come out of each competition with valuable lessons and memories.
